By | July 25, 2016

This 1912 test paper for 8th graders in Bullitt County, Kentucky, was recently discovered. A “Common Exam,” students were to take this test at the end of each school year. According to the Bullitt County website, this copy has been donated to the museum. The exam was handed out in a scroll form, which explains why the paper is long.

The copy gives us an idea of what 8th grade tests looked like 100 years ago. A quick look at this test and boy, am I glad I didn't have to go to school in 1912. Go ahead, give it a shot. And um... No cheating please!
