1920s | March 10, 2017

Known as the world’s luckiest unlucky man, Frane Selak, a Croatian music teacher was able to cheat death --- seven times! And, incredibly, in 2003, Selak won $1,000,000 dollars from a Croatian lottery!

Later on, Frane realized money really can't buy happiness and he just wanted to live a frugal life. Thus, he sold his luxury home located on a private island, then gave away his unbelievable fortune to family and friends, and subsequently moved back to his humble home in Petrinja. He only kept some money to be able to pay for his hip replacement operation as well as to enjoy life with his wife. Frane is happier than he’s ever been in his life, according to him.
