A Canadian Ghost Town That Stood Frozen in Time

By | September 21, 2016

In Canada the small town of Kitsault lies frozen in time, completely abandoned by it's once 1,200 strong community.

Kitsault has been left a ghost town for 30 years now and despite being bought in 2004 it still remains in the same state that it was left in.

The initial set up of this huge Kitsault’s facility cost $250 million.

Kitsault was once a village that was entirely dependent on mining. Once the mining company was shut down the town quickly followed and its inhabitants left, leaving behind nice houses, shops, a library and more.

Books still line library bookshelves and shopping carts still remain stacked and organised inside the shopping centre... all that is missing is the people that used to live there.
