Ben Sansum is living in the 1940s, no time travel required. As you can see in this video tour, his home in Godmanchester, England is a time capsule of 1946 and is full of incredible period details – right down to the outside toilet! Sansum says he wouldn't trade his old-fashioned lifestyle for anything. His fascination with the 40s began when he was a boy and has remained ever since; he explains that it's the “community spirit” of the period that he loves, and that his vintage home is also a way to honor his family history.
