By | October 15, 2016

These never-before-seen photos of Western Front troops were found almost a century after they were taken. The collection was hidden in an attic in a farm house in northern France.

Now some 4,000 pictures have been restored and featured in a moving new book Lost Tommies - written by investigative journalist Ross Coulthart. You can purchase the book on Amazon here (affiliate) .

Posing with their comrades, these amazing photographs capture British soldiers putting on a brave face on the eve of battle.
