This series of comparative photos is a project of photographer Jan Langer. Langer photographed 10 elderly people to match a photo of them taken 50 - 60 years earlier.

The series shows life passing in a moment, and I see not only the lines painted by the hands of time on the faces of these elderlies, but also the wisdom, sorrow, joy, pain and dreams etched in every one of those lines.
