Climate Activist Who Defaced Famous Art Sentenced to Prison

A climate activist from Brooklyn, New York named Joanna Smith received a 60-day prison sentence for vandalizing an exhibit at the National Gallery of Art in Washington.

Smith and an accomplice defaced a 142-year-old wax sculpture by Edgar Degas called "Little Dancer Aged Fourteen" on April 27th by spreading red and black paint on its display case.
