Dog Does Not Want to Leave Car Dealership, Becomes a Star

The Encounter
Dogs are cute innocent creatures. They are charming and sensitive to people’s emotions. They also are protective beings. These characteristics make dogs so lovable that many people love them and want to take care of them. This time, a man gets an unforgettable and unique encounter with a dog that changes the course of both their lives.
It was not unusual for him to pass by them. But he never thought that he would have an encounter with a stray animal that would change his life.
Conscience
Pets do not belong in a car dealership. He wanted to put the dog away and go home, but the dog looked at the man with such sad eyes. How could he drive it out?
Community Pets
Since these stray animals are called “community pets”. That is a name that people in Brazil have given them since they do not have a particular owner, but they are treated by the community as their own.
However, Mariano is not really into these community pets. They have pets at home, sure. But when it comes to stray animals, he would often just ignore them as they look at him with sad eyes asking for food. This might make him look bad, but he already has a lot on his plate to think of that he could not afford to worry about community pets anymore. Besides, there are also other people who feed them and care for them anyway.
Mariano’s True Colors
In truth, Mariano actually loves animals. He even wanted to become a veterinarian when he was young. He used to love animals so much. He had a pet when he was young, but it got sick, and he could not afford to pay its hospital bills. That made him devastated. Since then, he has been careful with adopting pets. If he gets a pet, he wants to ensure he can take care of it first.
Nevertheless, his children wanted to have pets. They pleaded, and he conceded. With this, they have already adopted two dogs, as that is the number they can afford to have. There are millions of stray animals out there and he could not take in all of them. So, one day when he came face to face with a shivering dog that looked so helpless, he was torn on what to do.
Distressed Man and Helpless Dog
He so wanted to feed it, but it would stay. And if it stays, it would be more difficult for him to get rid of it.
He worried that the dog would bother the people trying to get into the dealership, thus chasing away sales. Mariano’s plan was to ignore the dog as he hoped it would eventually go away. But after days of waiting, strange things started to happen.
A Goodbye
One morning, Mariano noticed the poor dog was not around and thought it had already gone to another place to find food. He felt a little sting in his heart, but he tried to shake it off, thinking that it was for the better.
The Dilemma
When everybody thought that the dog was gone, it returned in front of the dealership before the day ended and sat there happily. It turns out that it only left its place for a while to look for food. This has been the routine of the dog every day.
How would Mariano shoo the dog away when it looks so happy there? So, Mariano decided to make a move.
The Decision
Mariano talked to the other car dealership employees, and they came up with a decision. They would let the dog stay for a couple of days to let it recuperate. Then, they will send it away after it regains its health.
Mariano looked for a blanket in the trunk of his car to wrap the dog with. As the morning shift started, more people came. They thought their problem had been solved, but that was just the beginning.
Everybody’s Fear
When all thought that everything's been solved. One day, a customer came with their own dog, and upon seeing this, the employees feared that the dogs might end up fighting.
A list of worries bugged Mariano's mind as the customer's approaching the store's entrance with his dog. Should he stop the client or force the stray dog to move out?
Start of a Friendship
Luckily, despite the employees' worries, the two dogs became friends. They all could not help but smile at the sight of the two dogs, ultimately becoming close. The large brown stray dog followed the customer and their dog alongside the salesmen. It seemed as if he belonged in the place, even sniffing cars. This made the customer wonder and asked Mariano to whom the dog belonged, and he explained that it was a stray dog they took in.
The man's expression suddenly changed, then he shook his head. It was unusual and something Mariano could not comprehend. Should he be worried about something?
Unexpected Scenario
Unexpectedly, the customer suddenly broke into tears, shaking and crying there. Mariano was shocked by this sight, they were all nervous, and none of the employees knew what to do.
“Are you okay?” Mariano asked the customer. Instead of giving him a straight answer, the customer simply said, “I’m sorry.”
What happened?
The Miracle
Mariano and the other employees were at a loss for words. They assisted the customer until he composed himself and finally explained what had transpired for Mariano.
The guy has been in a rough patch in his life the past few weeks. So, before coming to the dealership, he asked God for a sign for him to hold on— the dog was his miracle.
Rose
The man then told Mariano the rest of his heart-wrenching life story.
His mom Rose had just passed away, and he felt very lost. He has been packing her things and dealing with her estate, among other things. Her car was the only thing left.
The Missing Piece
Rose had a dog, and when her husband passed away, she treated the dog as her whole world. Apparently, the dog looked exactly like the one in the car dealership, but the similarities do not end there!
Life After Death
Rose found the dog on the streets after her husband died. The people at the shelter did not know how old the dog was or where it came from. But one thing was sure: the dog was so quiet that it did not make a single sound.
In fact, that was precisely what Rose needed. When she lost her husband, she moved to an apartment block. And in apartments, you live close to your neighbors. Since the dog is silent, neighbors complaining about noise would be one less problem for the old woman. She ended up saving the poor dog, but she never knew it would also save her life.
Unforeseen Circumstances
One night, Rose's head hurt so much that she decided to sleep early. She checked on the dog she took in and saw it was asleep, and everything seemed to be fine.
Till the big incident alarmed everyone in the building that same night.
That One Night
That night, there was a big fire. The dog sensed it first and woke up Rose just in time for her to be able to evacuate. That same night, the apartment burned to the ground, and everything turned into ashes.
The dog saved Rose, and that night changed their whole life together.
Happy Moments
For another eight years, the dog and Rose lived happily together making good memories. Rose loved the dog as if it’s her own child until it passed due to old age.
Rose treasured all the dog’s belongings and never forgot about her dog till the day she passed. However, that was not just what was strange about the story.
Coincidence or Miracle?
The man asked Mariano to come outside for him to look at his trunk to know that he was not "crazy" since he was acting bizarrely. So Mariano went out, and in the man's car trunk was a box from his Mom's house. Inside it was a blue collar with a metal tag. The tag had an engraving that said "Tucson." Mariano was shocked. Now, he understands what the sign is.
Weirdly, the stray dog in the car dealership stood beside a Hyundai vehicle whose model is Tucson Prime. Is it reincarnation?
Destiny
The story was shocking, but it was heartwarming at the same time. Even though Mariano does not really believe in signs and destiny, the story was something that felt like the stars had something to do with. He knew he had to do something. He asked the man if he wanted to take the dog. Unfortunately, he could not because he already had three dogs he was caring for.
What will happen to the dog now?
Vision
Hyundai claims that they are a pet-friendly company.
With this, Mariano thought of something. He shared his idea with the other employees and immediately emailed the higher-ups. He rushed to his computer excitedly with a grin on his face. He asked the higher-ups if they could adopt the dog in the dealership, to which it would become their official mascot.
The Waiting Game
Mariano was hoping for a "yes." That was all that he was asking for. He was seated happily on his seat and wished to make this great idea come to life.
It was an excellent initiative for the company and will bring its vision to life. Are his plans going to work?
The Good News
And so they got a green light for the idea! The higher-ups said it was a great idea and wanted the dog to stay in the dealership for the rest of its life.
Hyundai even sent the dealership a check to purchase everything the dog needed and for him to be brought to the vet. They would even install cameras to keep an eye on the dog when there was no one in the dealership. The dog would be the protector, but Hyundai will also protect it. However, two important things are missing.
The Name
The dog needs a name. What will they call him?
The team agreed to call the dog "Tucson Prime" since it felt like a sign. Mariano printed out Tucson's employee badge. They were all happy and excited to work with him. However, things didn't end here.
The Paw-fect Job
From rags to riches, Tucson Prime was promoted to the canine ambassador and mascot position. With a massive hit with customers, soon, he was also recognized as a sales dog at the dealership.
Viral News
The dealership posted about Tucson on Instagram, and the news about him spread swiftly.
Soon after, Tucson became Instagram famous. People were sending gifts to this wonderful dog. The dealership posted a lot of videos of Tucson, and people found them entertaining! People began visiting the dealership to see him. And he even got an amazing invitation!
The Invitation
The invitation was very unexpected. It was an invitation to visit the Hyundai plants!
The higher-ups wanted to meet Tucson. Everyone was ecstatic due to this news! They bought things to wear: a new leash, bow ties, and others to give a nice impression. This is an opportunity of a lifetime!
Meeting with the Big Bosses
They visited the plant and were proud. Mariano had a huge smile on his face as he walked the dog around. The workers walked toward Tucson to take pictures of him and give him belly rubs.
Tucson Prime was overjoyed! He won over the big bosses' hearts and everyone there to see him. They were all adults, but they looked like little children greeting the dog. Mariano was busy looking out for Tucson till one of the bosses approached him.
New Opportunity
The marketing team approached Mariano and asked if Tucson could star in nationwide commercials!
When they arrived back at the dealership. Tucson went inside his doghouse and fell asleep. He looked very serene, Mariano looked at the dog admiringly, and he was so proud of this new star! He could not believe everything that had happened.
All From Love
Everything that transpired was due to the love that was shown. Everything is rooted in a little kindness.
They only wanted to let the dog in to save him. But it even brought so much more. It made many people happy, even those from all over the world. Mariano felt proud and excited about what could come next.
