Frazer wants clearer policy on transgender athletes

The UK's culture secretary, Lucy Frazer, has urged sports organizations to adopt a clear stance and prohibit transgender athletes from participating in high-level women's sports.

Frazer recently held meetings with various sporting bodies, such as the Football Association (FA) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), to address this issue.

She emphasized that these organizations have a responsibility to prioritize the interests of women in sports. "It is clear today that several sports authorities are not going far or fast enough," she said. She added: "Sporting bodies have a duty to women competing in sport to set out clear guidance and take an unambiguous position.
