Letitia James Gets Slapped Down In Court Ruling

A state judge criticized New York Attorney General Letitia James for trying to bypass a recent win for former President Donald Trump in his real estate lawsuit.

An appeals court ruled in favor of the ex-president, upholding a $175 million civil bond, despite James using a legal loophole to argue that the bond underwriter lacked the financial capacity to pay. President Trump is persisting in appealing the unfavorable ruling.

The court stated that “The $175 million needs to be in cash, not mutual funds or securities where value can fluctuate. Night Insurance cannot trade or move the month by they will have control of the account and will provide a monthly financial statement to the attorney general showing $175 million in cash.”
