MIT Faces Civil Rights Complaint for Program that Excludes White Students

A federal civil rights complaint has been lodged against the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) by a free speech organization, criticizing the university's exclusion of white students from a program aimed at "women of color."

The program in question, named "The Creative Regal Women of kNowledge" (CRWN), is the focal point of the complaint submitted to the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights.

The Equal Protection Project, a nonprofit organization, alleges in the complaint that MIT's program, which is limited to women of color, is engaging in discriminatory practices based on race, color, and gender, thereby violating Title VI and Title IX regulations.
