Rashida Tlaib calls on ICC to arrest Netanyahu; US Senators tell ICC to back down

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Democratic representative and member of the "Squad," urged for the apprehension of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of breaching the Genocide Convention.

Tlaib criticized the Israeli government's military actions in Rafah, southern Gaza strip, in a recent statement, hinting at U.S. involvement through its financial support to Israel.

A statement on Tlaib's website dated May 7th, said, “It’s no coincidence that immediately after our government sent the Israeli apartheid regime over $14 billion with absolutely no conditions on upholding human rights, Netanyahu began a ground invasion of Rafah to continue the genocide of Palestinians—with ammunition and bombs paid for by our tax dollars.”
