Supreme Court Upholds Additional Educational Benefits For Some Veterans

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of James Rudisill, a decorated veteran who had served in both Afghanistan and Iraq, in his ongoing legal battle with the government regarding a year's worth of G.I. Bill educational benefits.

In a 7-2 decision, the Court found that the Department of Veterans Affairs had made errors in calculating the educational benefits owed to Rudisill, a retired Army captain residing in northern Virginia.

Currently working as an FBI agent, Rudisill is among a group of veterans who have earned benefits under two versions of the G.I. Bill.
