Donald Trump is making arrangements to be the main attraction at a political fundraising event on the same day he requested a pause in his hush money trial to attend his youngest son Barron's high school graduation.

The Minnesota Republican Party revealed on Monday that the ex-president will be the keynote speaker at its yearly Lincoln Reagan Dinner on May 17th. “We are thrilled to welcome President Trump back to Minnesota,” state GOP chairman David Hann said in a statement. “I can think of no one more fitting to join us this year than President Trump.”

The fundraiser is set to take place in Saint Paul, Minnesota, which is approximately a three-hour and 45-minute flight from West Palm Beach, Florida, where Barron's graduation ceremony is scheduled. The high school event begins at 10 am ET, while the exact start time of the Republican fundraiser is yet to be confirmed.
